I feel sad writing this because I didn’t get a chance to write a new story this week. I sat down to start one several times but I struggled with ideas and getting stories just right for the people I wanted to write about, I struggled with writers block and coming up with ideas in the first place. Admittedly, it was a weird week. We were really busy, work was hectic, I was incredibly sleep deprived from a drive to a wedding on Sunday night which was totally worth it, but did leave my exhausted the rest of the week.
All that to say, we are so sorry there isn’t a new story this week. There will be a new story next week, so please come back. I will be posting a blog in honor of Father’s Day later today or tomorrow, so be on the look out for that as well.
For now, I wanted to leave you with a story* I came across in the news of secret people who showed up in light of the tragedy that hit Charleston last Wednesday. If this isn’t a sign of beauty in brokenness, I don’t know what is. It’s a beautiful picture of what happens in a city when the “normal people” Malala spoke of in her interview** with Jon Stewart step up and love.
Our prayers and our hearts are with those affected by last week’s horrific events. As we remember and honor the lives that were lost, we grieve with Charleston and the victims families and friends. We hope for the day where all things are made new.
